Professional Profile

Jon is currently the Head of Medical Management and Lead Physiotherapist at Sussex Cricket Club. He has worked in at Sussex Cricket Club since 2012 and is responsible for the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of all professional cricketers.

Having studied PE and Sports Science at Loughborough University, Jon went on to complete a masters in Physiotherapy at Kings College London. He then spent several years in the NHS specialising as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist before starting his role at Sussex Cricket
Club.

Jon has also held part time roles at Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, working with the boys and girls academy; a number of private clinics; with Physio Science covering pitch side physiotherapy across multisports.

He has a wealth of experience assessing and treating acute sports injuries as well as chronic conditions. Other specialisations include; massage therapy; manual techniques; shockwave therapy; strapping and taping; and acupuncture. Jon’s philosophy is to educate his patients and guide them through structured rehabilitation to allow them to reach their functional goals.

Brighton Clinic

Our Brighton Clinic is located within a state of the art cricket centre, not far from the AMEX football stadium. We offer broad range of services here. This facility has a specialist gym on site for advanced rehabilitation and personal S&C training.
